Welcome to Ireland

Upon arrival at Dublin Airport you will pick up your rental car.

Depending on the time of day, I recommend a trip to the Howth peninsula. There are seals living in the harbor and they are happy to pose for a photo. Howth is also well known for its fresh seafood. There are a number of restaurants in the harbor.

After having eaten you can go for a nice walk along the Cliffs.

You continue to Dublin and check into your centrally located hotel.

From Marble City to Rebel County

It’s time to embark on your journey.

Your first stop – Kilkenny, a city in southeast Ireland known as a Marble City. You can wander along its ancient cobbled streets to discover historic landmarks like Kilkenny Castle and St. Canice’s Cathedral. Admire arts and crafts at the famed Kilkenny Design Centre. 

In the afternoon travel further south to the biggest county in Ireland, known to locals as Rebel County, Cork. The city once was the Venice of Ireland until the early 20th century. At that time, the canals were only covered by alleys and streets and slumbered under the city centre. As a result, even the main street is not straight, following the underground river.

You will find live music in many venues in the heart of the city, check out Dwyers of Cork, music starts from 9pm.​

Dingle Peninsular

In the morning embark on a journey to Dingle, the main town in this “Gaeltacht” region, where the Irish (Gaelic) language thrives. Your route will take you through Ventry, passing by the prehistoric beehive huts of Fahan, and onwards to Dunbeg, a remarkable ancient fortification perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. Next, continue along the coast, treating ourselves to stunning views, until you reach the breathtaking Slea Head viewpoint. From there, you can feast your eyes upon the magnificent Blasket Islands that lie before you. 

In the evening it’s time to explore your host town, Killarney. In Killarney, everyone seems to feel at home, no matter what corner of the world they come from.

Let your senses go wild

The Ring of Kerry is a stunning scenic driving route.

This 179-kilometer (111-mile) circular journey showcases rugged mountains, sparkling lakes, charming coastal villages, and breathtaking coastal views.

Head north along the west coast

Today, you’ll embark on a car ferry crossing of the Shannon, Ireland’s longest river, where you might catch a glimpse of the playful dolphins that inhabit these waters.

A major highlight awaits you at the magnificent Cliffs of Moher.

Afterward, you’ll continue your journey along the scenic Black Head coastal route, leading you to Galway, the fourth-largest city in the Republic of Ireland.

From caves to Metropole

Today, your journey takes you from Sligo into the beautiful landscapes of Northern Ireland. Consider visiting the renowned Marble Arch Caves, an underground wonderland of stunning geological formations and a subterranean river.

While driving from the Marble Arch Caves towards County Meath, you can make a stop in the town of Enniskillen to explore its castle.
